IPD-01-Flex is just that, flexible. It can dock your iPad in three positions, ergonomically correct for typing, landscape view for watching your movies and portrait for reading. Speakers are built-in, it had Aux input and remote control. What does it put you back by? $79.99.

IPD-100–View XL has more powerful speakers than IPD-01 (25 watts), it has an FM Tuner, AUX input for other devices like mp3 player and Video Output for TV. The cost? $129.99

Both speaker models are also rechargers so when it’s docked, forget about it!

A survey has shown that affluent people are abandoning magazines and other forms of print in favor of the newest tablets and e-readers on the market, including the Apple iPad.

Surprise, surprise.

The annual Ipsos Mendelsohn Affluent Survey, the snobbiest survey out there, tracks the trends in households that make over $100,000 per year. The Ipsos survey found that magazine reading had dropped 16 percent in the last year, and was supplanted by more time spent on the Internet and with e-readers and the iPad.

Ipsos Mendelsohn President Bob Shullman told AdAge that these people are still getting their magazine-style content, but through different forms and devices.

“The consumer is getting more and more comfortable with the alternative platforms,” he said.

By Ipsos’ count, there are more than 44 million “affluent” households in the United States, and almost one million of them has a tablet, of which the iPad makes up the vast majority. Two million of them owned e-reader devices such as the Amazon Kindle. What’s more, over three million of these people said they planned to buy a tablet or an e-reader in the course of the next year.

Possibly the most interesting result in the survey isn’t realizing that rich people like fancy gadgets, it’s learning the speed at which they have adopted the iPad. This survey was conducted only two months after the Apple iPad was released, and already one million people had bought a tablet.
