According to recent surveys that was done by Distimo, the majority of Android Apps are more consumer friendly since most of them are free compared to the ratio of free to paid apps in the Apple App store. According to the survey, Android has, more than a hundred items available for free with Apple only a few thousand apps apart. As of march 2011, Apple's App Store has started to slow down but since it was the first of its kind and it has been present for a year already, it still has the most vibrant selection of applications. For those non Apple users, you can rejoice. Just recently, Android applications have reached 100,000. You can now get a third as many applications as iPad users. Well, at some point, this news may not be as good. A number of tablets that will run on Android are still in production and will be released in the next few months. Some of the apps have been recycled since these have been built for Apple products firsts. Apple has 300, 00 apps and counting.
