We’ve been talking about iPad and other mobile devices being used in schools. Oh, there’ll be books, plenty of them, but there’ll be vibrant and cool graphics, endless possibilities and interactive experience on iPad. 1 year pilot project was announced by education icon Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) for algebra. HMH launched HMH Fuse™, a new mode of curriculum delivery on a cutting edge newest K-12 technology. More interactive learning environment starts with teacher’s instruction, custom carved for individual needs of schools, ongoing support and intervention. Students will be able to access video lessons, using various applications, taking notes all with a tap of a finger. In words of CEO of HMH Barry O’Callaghan:
“The launch of HMH Fuse and this app signal the beginning of a new era in curriculum development, where the goal is not just providing world-class content, but also delivering it in a variety of ways so that students and teachers can individualize the learning experience. We believe this pilot will provide the nation with a glimpse into the future of education.” Some 400 iPads are being used in this first of a kind pilot project in various schools all over United States.
