Netbooks previous climb has evened out and stabilized at 20% of the entire market for portable computers. As a secondary device that’s not shabby at all. NPD study concludes that iPads are not replacing netbooks. Only 13% of people using iPad claim to have bought it to replace PC and nearly twice as many said that they have bought ipad to replace other ereaders. In other words, iPad are doing the killing but they’re killing off eBook readers, rather then netbooks. Thanks to NPD research findings we can now put the final dot behind the “netbooks are dead” rumors.
