According to several online news reports, due to the overwhelming iPad demand, the pre-order date for the iPad has been pushed to May 10th. Apple has already shipped more than 500,000 iPads since April 3, 2010 and Americans have already placed thousands of pre-orders for the 3G version of the iPad
