We now know that the price of the iPad in China (via importers) is going to be around 4999 Yuan, which rounds-off to $732. In US, the price of the entry-model iPad will cost $499. Clearly, there is huge difference.
However, it is due to 8% tax + $80 freight + Chinese custom tax of RMB 200 + shipping service fees of 200, that brings the price to over 4500 Yuan.
