Gameloft has released another racing game for the iPad (first being the Asphalt 5 HD). Just like latter, it features hundreds of cars to choose from, but Gameloft claims that the graphics have been improved. Costing 10 dollars, it has 100 cars from 24 real manufactures, including Mercedes, BMW and Audi. You can customize parts and even go for the manual gearbox, if you think you have become a pro at the game.

Coming down to the main part – The gameplay. Like Asphalt 5 HD, it left much to be desired. Do not get me wrong, the graphics are top notch and look mesmerizing, but the accelerometer-based steering is finicky and even after 2 hours of play, I could not get used to it. This forced me to use the onscreen controls to control the car, thus defeating the main purpose of the game that gives you realistic driving experience. Also, there is no car damage. So, you can bang the car of other opponent and nothing would happen to his car. Oh and its music would make you sleepy.

But, you would certainly love the in-car views and tons of camera angels. If you can live with its shortcomings, the GT racing can be the one of the best simulators you would have ever played. [link]
