Adobe has launched Creative Suite 6 in beta and its new Creative Cloud service. Creative Cloud is a hosted-software service. Users can pay monthly for a Creative Suite, instead of having to shell out $1299 and above in one go, at $50 per month for one year (or $30 per month if you already use CS3/CS4/CS5). There's also a no-commitment monthly payment scheme, costing $75, useful for one-off projects or perhaps for training yourself to use CS5 professionally without buying a full copy befoer you land the job. Retina-X Studios recently launched PeekTab app, a multi-platform monitoring program to be installed on tablets. Parents or sinister employers will be able to secretly monitor tablet use. Apple is preparing its new TV called iTV to be released later this year. New technology IGZO (indium, gallium, zinc, oxide) display, made by Sharp, is to be implemented on this new iTV as well as other Apple products. Rumours are that smaller thin film transistors used in these displays will increase pixel transparency, resulting in as much as 90% smaller energy consumption. IGZO screens will offer twice the detail with same transparency levels. This will effectively begin the new era of smart TV.
