Apple has already confirmed that third party Airplay streaming and it is notified already in the app store. This feature requires the iOS 4.3 and since this new version will come by in few weeks, Apple has already approved applications compatible to the Airplay. It is really just a matter of time before Apple allows iOS video and audio to be played to Apple TV. In the iOS 4.2, video is already part of Airplay but the new 4.3 version will allow third party developers outside the native video player of Apple. One of the most recent approved applications is StreamToMe and can be run on iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad and using this application, you can play any media that is streamed over via WiFi over a Mac or PC. You just tap on the file and it will play. Another feature of this application is that it allows you to use out cables from a TV so you can play on the TV and turn your device to a home media center. You will certainly love it when the iOS 4.3 gets released so you can transform your iPhone or iPad into a powerful media device. We don’t have a release date yet but since Apple is already releasing StreamToMe app iOS 4.3 firmware should follow shortly after iOS 4.2.5 which is out on 10th of February.
