For quite some time already, everybody has been using the DirectTV app for iPhone. Using this app, you can use the smart phone to control your DVR and it works really well. Now, the company has announced that it will reveal the iPad app that will not only control the DVR but it can also customize the DVR, control the TV find programs you want to see and even check scores from sporting events. Since the iPad is a lot bigger, it can offer more functionality than the iPhone app. The app will be available for free and the date is still uncertain but the company stated that it will be soon.

This is old news on what the Ipad can do. Several companies have this app already. I work for DISH Network and have the TV Everywhere with them. It is an awesome feature. I am able to access my DVR and live TV from anywhere I am at. It’s great for when I am on the road and need to keep my kids busy or for when I am traveling. I love this app and maybe someday Direct TV will come up with the same app.
