Readdle has launched Remarks, a note-taking and pdf annotation app for the Apple iPad. Remarks allows users to input text either via the keyboard or as handwriting, and shapes and photos can also be imported.
The strokes in the handwriting do not register as smoothly as with some other apps, but the pdf notation feature is a great feature. With Remarks users can zoom in on a pdf document to make highly-detailed notes.
The pdf annotation functionality allows you to underline, highlight or strike out text, and Remarks offers a host of other features. Users can co-edit notes with friends or colleagues, sharing notes with friends and upload or download files to and from the cloud via Dropbox, Box. Net, Safari etc.
You can also annotate email attachments, or perhaps just doodle with a stylus or with your finger. Remarks is available from the Apple App Store for $4.99.
