Here is an excellent PDF viewer for iPad which claims to open even the biggest PDF files out there. Files can be uploaded or downloaded via Wi-Fi, iDisk, Google Docs and webDav. Heck you can even use FTP for File upload or download.
GoodReader supports massive PDF and TXT files, but it can also handle all of the most popular file types.
