TextExpander is a wonderful utility for your iPad that allows the users to create abbreviations for common snippets of text and then expand them as your type. TextExpander cannot run in the background which limits its functionality. Luckily, it is supported in all popular apps like Twitter for iPhone, SimpleNote, WriteRoom, SMS touch and many other. Another day, another case by Targus. Just kidding. I am mentioning this, because I simply adore its style. The case is not yet available for purchase on their site, but Targus says that it includes a slide tab closure, slim pockets for storing cards, photos, or notes, and a soft interior lining to reduce scratching. The National Film Board of Canada has launched an app which allows the users to enjoy thousands of free NFB documentaries and trailers over Wi-Fi or 3G. The app costs no money and includes list of films in 3D and HD. There is a kid section too for your kids. The app allows the user to download and store films for offline viewing for upto 48 hours.
