Logitech has adapted its solar power know-how to iPad peripherals - the new Logitech Solar Keyboard not only protects the iPad and iPad 2, it can also power its keyboard from natural energy. The new keyboard dock can utilise either sunlight or indoor light sources to power the device. Logitech even claims the new Solar Keyboard Folio can last for years on a single charge, even when kept in complete darkness.

Clear Channel has updated its Apple iPad app for iHeartRadio. The upgrade brings deeper integration with Facebook and support for the new iPad's Retina display, and the graphical interface has been enhanced.
A new feature of iHeartRadio iPad app is Custom Stations, which are populated according to a user's own interests from a catalog of 14 million tracks. IDC has published data on global tablet shipments for Q1 2012, showing that Apple's slice of the tablet pie has risen to 68% from 55% in Q4 2011, even though Apple's overall shipments fell 20% in that period. IDC explains this anomaly by explaining that Q4 2011 was strong, with high sales of tablets during the holiday season.
Apple's increased market share came at the expense of Android tablets, and in particular the Amazon Kindle Fire, whose sales fell from 4.8million in the budget slate's first quarter on sale (Q4 2011) to a mere 750,000 in Q1. Most Android tablet manufacturers saw sales of tablets fall after a bumper Christmas season.
